
Vivienne Poy, Canadian Senator
Chairwoman of Lee Tak Wai Holdings & University of Toronto Chancellor Emerita
An author, entrepreneur, fashion designer, and historian, Vivienne Poy is the first Canadian of Asian descent to be appointed to the Senate of Canada. She was appointed to the Senate in 1998. She served as Chancellor of the University of Toronto from 2003 until 2006.
She founded Vivienne Poy Mode in 1981 and over the following fourteen years enjoyed great success in fashion design, manufacturing and retail. She is currently Chairwoman of Lee Tak Wai Holdings Limited.

Wang Hui Yao
Currently the director of China Globalization Research Institute, vice director of Western Scholars Association, honorary chairman of the Committee for the year 2005, vice chairman of the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association and vice director of Jiu San Society Central Economic Committee, Beijing Municipal Political Consultative Conference consultant, director of China Overseas Friendship Association, also an honorary professor in a number of well-known colleges.

Peter W. Greenwood, MA, FCS, FCIS
Mr. Greenwood is the Group Executive Director – Strategy at CLP. He also holds an MA degree in law from the University of Cambridge and a diploma in German law from the University of Tuebingen. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries in England and the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries.

Clement Chan
Mr. Clement Chan is the founder and Executive Director of Columbia International College. Leaving Hong Kong and landing Canada at the young age of 18, he experienced the challenges of adjusting to living, learning, and socializing in a brand new environment, which motivated him in the first place to create an education system that would help the international students like him to succeed in a foreign country. In 1979, he turned his idea into action after gaining some experience as Research Assistant at McMaster University upon graduation from University of British Columbia. Starting with only 9 students, today Columbia has become the largest private boarding middle and high school in Canada, with over 1200 students and 200 staff.
As an entrepreneur, Mr. Chen has a wealth of experience in leadership, management and marketing, which earned him the Queen of England Jubilee Award for community service in 2002 and the Chinese Canadian Entrepreneur Award in 2003. Currently, he also serves on the Business Advisory Council of the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University.

Farzaan Kassam
Farzaan Kassam is a senior manager at BMO Financial Group, North America’s 10th largest bank, and the only Canadian bank with an operating license in China. He brings 15 years of experience in the telecom industry, 11 with TELUS, Canada’s second largest communications company. Farzaan holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.

Zu Jean
Jean Zu graduated with B.Sc. in 1984 and M.Sc. in 1986 from Tsinghua University. After two years of working as a lecturer and researcher at Tsinghua University, she came to Canada for Ph.D. study and obtained her Ph.D from the University of Manitoba in 1993. From January 1994, Jean Zu joined the University of Toronto, Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering as an Assistant Professor. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 1999 and to Full Professor in 2004 from the department. She served as Associate Chair for research from June 2008 to June 2009. From July 1, 2009, she serves as Chair of the Department. She is also currely President-Elect of Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC).
